We strive to create water safety awareness in an attempt to reduce the drowning statistics around our coastline.
In 2012 Rushana Charles opened Little Mermaids’ doors with a vision to create a swimming education centre of excellence where children and adults from all walks of life can learn more about the essential life-skill, rewards, and health and fitness benefits of swimming. We strive to inspire thousands of children to be the best that they can be through swimming. We are situated in Strandfontein and teach in an indoor heated pool which enables us to teach throughout the year. We teach from the ages of 12 months up to an including adults. We are qualified, experienced instructors at competitive rates and classes are conducted in groups. Slots are dependent on your availability as well as what our existing schedule allows. We teach from Mondays to Saturday (excluding public holidays).
Instructors stay abreast with the development of swimming by attending regular training workshops, seminars and conferences.
Our aim is to provide and afford swimmers the opportunity to develop confidence in an aquatic environment as well as establish good stroke techniques through lessons that makes swimming fun to learn. Our present day operation has grown with the times staying in step with our technology based world by making it easy for customers to sign up online and make payments electronically.
